It is robust and durable enough to withstand foot traffic along with most permanently sited plant and is specified in applications where outstanding longevity is required. It can be used in both warm, inverted and cold roof designs on all normal deck constructions and can be used to overlay certain types of existing roof materials. Tapered insulation can be incorporated to provide falls if required. There are different options available to suit all types of roof project: BTRS This is our long- standing torch- applied system with a trusted reputation. It utilises robust SBS modified bitumen membranes of the highest quality. The system is extremely adaptable and features a heavy duty cap sheet. BTRS DUO This option features our patented ' DUO' technology and combines a torch- bonded cap sheet with self- adhesive technology in the underlayer and vapour barrier to provide securely welded laps whilst reducing installation time. The need for a bitumen pot is eliminated and the amount of naked flame required to install the membranes is greatly reduced. BAUDER TOTAL GREEN ROOF SYSTEM The Bauder Total Roof System incorporates an option to use special cap sheets that have been tested by the FLL to ensure long- term root resistance. This stringent test is widely regarded as being the toughest trial currently available. Our Plant- E cap sheet incorporates chemically impregnated bitumen suitable for most green roofs and the Rootbar cap sheet is the heavy duty option that features both chemical and mechanical measures with its copper core for roofs where trees are to be incorporated in the landscaping or are positioned near by. Bauder K5E Cap Sheet is mica finished and can be used as an alternative under fully covered situations, such as promenade tiles. BauderTEC KSA DUO Underlayer is a self- adhesive elastomeric bituminous membrane with glass lattice reinforcement, incorporating the patented ' DUO' lap technology. BauderPIR FA- TE Flatboard Insulation is extremely thermally efficient, lightweight, fire resistant and zero ODP rated. The insulation is foil faced on both sides for increased thermal efficiency. As an alternative, BauderPIR Tapered Insulation can be used to provide improved drainage falls. BauderTHERM DS1 DUO Vapour Barrier is a self- adhesive membrane incorporating patented ' DUO' lap technology. Its upper surface has a torch- activated bituminous bonding compound for the adhesion of the insulation. The patented ' DUO' membrane laps are heat sealed with a gas torch. A Bauder long handled roller is used to apply pressure to the join to extrude a bitumen bead, providing a homogenous bonded layer across the whole roof. The system features self- adhesive technology along with the patented ' DUO' lap system where the laps are heat sealed with a gas torch and a long handled roller used to apply pressure to the join to extrude a bitumen bead to provide a secure weld whilst reducing installation time. It utilises robust SBS modified bitumen membranes of the highest quality. The system is specified when the use of hot bitumen and naked flame is not prohibitive. It is extremely adaptable and the amount of naked flame required to install the membranes is greatly reduced. The system was winner of the ' Award for Product Excellence' in the 2006 Flat Roof Alliance National Reinforced Bitumen Membrane Awards. The system is equally suited to new build or refurbishment. and ideal for projects with a high degree of detailing since the torch- on products are easier to apply in these situations.
