REINFORCED BITUMEN MEMBRANE ROOFING Bitumen This is the primary raw material used in the production of bituminous waterproofing membranes. It is a by- product of oil refining and is essentially the waste material of this petrochemical process and therefore has little additional detrimental effect on the environment. Bauder utilises a shredder to recycle any offcuts and waste bituminous membranes back into production. When roofs are replaced the bituminous layers can be incinerated for heating and electricity production. ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS Insulation The Bauder PIR insulation has extremely high thermal efficiency and is CFC and HCFC free. It has zero ODP and a Global Warming potential of just 4.928KgCO2- Eq/ Kg.
